Getting married is stressful – there’s no way to get around it. When we talk to couples thinking about having their wedding at Stancliffe Hall, the first thing we tell them is something along the lines of: ‘don’t worry so much!’ Of course, this never really works, but it’s always worth a try!
One of the most stressful factors is the cost of the wedding itself – with the average cost of a UK wedding sitting at around £30,000 this is understandable. Our Win a Free Dream Wedding competition held in 2019 was our way of reducing this stress, and when Stephen and Emma won it, we were overjoyed to be contributing to a truly unforgettable wedding experience.
We were overjoyed when the wedding was finally able to happen. The wedding day is our favourite part of every couple’s journey with us and the reason we work so hard, so to see it come off so perfectly after the delays was such a treat! Stephen and Emma’s talented friends were able to help out with music and photography, while the Stancliffe Hall staff worked behind the scenes to make sure that everything went perfectly.
This culminated in two wonderful people having the wedding day they deserved! The mother of the groom summed it up well when she said ‘‘Thank you to you all and a special mention to Victoria Pym for looking after a very tearful mother of the Groom. Thank you so much for such a lovely day for Stephen & Emma. It’s a special day never to be forgotten.”
